At the beginning of Gundam Double 00, Ribbons was shown as Alejandro's assistant. After Alejandro took him in, Ribbons displayed loyalty and willingness to follow whatever Alejandro told him to do. Outwardly, he appeared to be an innocent young man - willing to learn and follow through Alejandro's footsteps. Though in reality, Ribbons had a cunning personality. Ribbons chose to work with Alejandro after knowing that the latter shared the former's secret desire to take over the world. Using this from the very start, Ribbons manipulated Alejandro to accomplish his own plans from the shadows. After Alejandro died, Ribbons started to manipulate the world, using Alejandro's works and Veda to guide it according to his vision. Ribbons believed there is no other fit for the task; he believed it was his destiny alone to rule mankind as he viewed himself as superior to them and as their intended MessiahRibbons describes himself superior to other Innovades. He never thought of them as important when compared to himself. Despite their abilities, Ribbons did not even view any of them as a threat; even when he knew Regene Regetta had betrayed him or when he was directly challenged by Tieria Erde. During the Battle of Lagrange 2, he even treats the other Innovades as expendable for his purposes.

All in all, Ribbons displayed an extreme case of egotism; his confidence of himself is at the point of arrogance. Ribbons' hubris eventually lead to his downfall during the Battle of Lagrange 2. His underestimation of Regene and Tieria eventually lead to latter's capture of Veda from Ribbons' grasp. Ribbons also badly underestimated Setsuna F. Seiei's abilities as a genuine Innovator since Setsuna was once a human. Ribbons was eventually defeated in his last battle against Setsuna on the Innovator's colony ship, Celestial Being.Even in defeat, he never showed any interest in understanding humanity, even for the sake of Aeolia's Plan.
