    Overview

    Guns and Robots is free to play online third person shooter focusing on robot creation and arena battles. The game has been developed by Masthead Studios and has recently been released on Steam. The game is in open beta phase.

    Gameplay

    Guns and Robots gameplay has two main perspectives - crafting a robot and customizing it and open arena battles.

    Robot crafting process takes place in a garage and leaves players to decide which option best suits their gameplay style. Robot assembly begins with assembling modules from available parts. There is a crafty tutorial in the game that shows the process. Each module is build by selecting housing part and inset part ( they generally share the same name) Players can choose from variety of possible combinations for customizing and upgrading from three main categories - Light, Medium and Heavy components.

    Arena Battles and Game Modes

    Combat is third-person, gun based and is set in real time. Matches last 5 minutes. There are three available game modes, that are randomly assigned - "Team deathmatch", "Capture the batteries" which is like classical "capture the flag" and "Bomb Squad" which is similar to Bomb Defuse Mode.
