    Overview

Image & Form’s SteamWorld Heist is the third game in the SteamWorld universe after 2013’s SteamWorld Dig and 2010’s SteamWorld Tower Defense. Players shoot, loot and heist their way through space in this turn based tactical game.

    Gameplay

The player control a steambot space captain called Captain Piper and her crew as they go on missions, heisting ships in a free aiming, turn based, shooting combat style. The combat can be described as a side-scrolling XCom with free aiming similar to the Worms series.

Apart from heisting enemy ships the player can visit Space Bars where they can recruit new crew members, talk to other steambots, and buy upgrades in the form of weapons and utilities.

All steambots are wearing hats which can be shot off and added to the players collection. They serve as visual collectibles and adds no stats for the crew.

    Music

SteamWorld Heist's soundtrack is made by the steampunk band Steam Powered Giraffe which makes an appearance in the game, as themselves, playing at the different Space Bars.

This album contains 7 completely original songs written for the game, and 6 classic Steam Powered Giraffe songs, re-recorded to fit into the SteamWorld Heist game universe.
