Hey everyone, new to the forums and site :D. What are some of your favorite Wii games that in you would consider Golden Gems?
For me, Opoona was a game that took me by surprise and is now one of my top 5 games on the Wii.

The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
What Are Your Golden Gem's On The Wii?
Ignoring all the major titles(like Nintendo titles)...
Spectrobes Origins is pretty good. Playing it now and a few hours in. Feels like what you'd expect from a PS2-era (which is an era I prefer) JRPG.
Rune Factory Frontier is a major time vacuum. I have over 100 hours on that. Very grindy though.
And I really like Dawn of Discovery. I've always liked city sim games, but they usually are too hard/complicated for me. So the wii version of Dawn of Discovery feels just right.

Yeah i have Spectrobes origins and that game is pretty damn fun. I just picked up Arc Rise Fantasia and i have to say the game is awesome minus the voice acting of course :P
" What exactly do you mean by "Golden Gems"? "What i mean is games you love that everyone hates but that you think should NOT be overlooked.
Blast Works
Spent some good time with this one.
" @fatalmephisto:Are you familiar with all the other free kenta Cho shooters? Blastworks was inspired by his tumiki fighters. Its not even his best one if you ask me :P

It's all about Sin and Punishment.
Not sure if MH tri counts, but its pretty much the only reason I bought a wii. Only other game I have for it is SSB.
Mh Tri (amazing depth of controls for such a huge game, so many different attacks)
Boom Blox Bash Party (just awesome fun)
and New Super Mario Bros for Wii (idk why soo many people hate this game, but it is my mario that I love, AND i can grab a friend and throw them at enemies or in pits..... where is the loss????)
Muramasa the demon blade
That game is awesome, couldn't stop playing it, I still pop it in occasionally, one day I'll make a serious push and try to complete it in the hardest setting, which is pretty much impossible because 1 hit will kill you heh.
The game is really compelling because of the beautiful art, amazing music, the great combat, engaging story and the fact that you are always unlocking a new more powerful blade, really fantastic game, anyone with a wii should get it.
I also played a lot of MH3, great game, I was really addicted to it for like 2 months, online play is quite good.
The other game I really enjoyed on the system was Resident Evil 4, I hadn't played it before I got it for my wii, because I was a PC gamer for a long time, I had a genesis when I was a kid but that was it, so I totally missed pretty much all RE gamest, then PC gaming got too expensive and I said eff it and got a PS3 and wii.
And of course all other no brainers like the metroid prime series and Zelda TP, the wii has some pretty good hardcore games, unfortunately they're not many.
mario galaxy 1 + 2
world of goo
lost winds
mario kart wii
links crossbow training
house of the dead: Overkill
animal crossing
resident evil 4: wii edition
resident evil umbrella chronicles
resident evil darkside chronicles
no more heroes
no more heroes 2: Desperate struggle
pikmin 1
pikmin 2 ( if it`s in your region )
new super mario bros wii
metroid prime 3: Corruption
metroid prime trilogy
there we go, that`s my top games
To this day, I would buy a Wii for the soul reason of dumping another few hundred hours into Brawl. Then again, I no longer live in a dorm where competition is abundant.
There's the No More Heroes series; I definitely got love for them. Punch-Out!! is a great game. Excitebike: World Rally was a fun little WiiWare title, I put a lot of hours into the online multiplayer.
I still think my favorite Wii game is Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I've put a couple hundred hours into it and still play it sometimes; I think it's the best DBZ fighting game made.
