apparently polygon did some digging and found a resume listing from someone at machinegames saying he was an ADR Engineer, Production Sound on a wolfenstein game.

i figured that franchise was dead considering the last one flopped. wouldnt be surprised to see this resurface once next gen is in effect.

They better put in Mecha Hitler or no buy man. NO BUY.

i agree! and with the way people are fed up of modern military shooters, a WW2 style shooter, might be oddly refreshing :P

I liked Wolfenstein so it's nice to see another iteration, not that I'm dying for more First-person shooters or anything, but maybe they'll try to do something a bit different with this go-around.

oh, i really hope so. the Wolfenstein series is one of my all time favorite franchises, and i enjoyed the hell out of Wolfenstein's single player. the multiplayer wasn't good at all, though. a total disappointment. i know it's hard to live up to Return to Castle Wolfenstein/ET's superb multiplayer, but damn.

@Sackmanjones: was waiting for someone to confront me about this, lol hopefully the mod overlords see this message and dont kill my account.

my job requires me to be in front of a computer a lot (im essentially a mod for google) , and during my job, i have a lot of downtime in between my next assignment, and lately on giantbomb, they barely post news stories, and i dont believe in filtering out news like they do.

so i figure id scout the other news sites, and if i see something of interest that isnt covered already on GB that i think the community would dig, ill create a thread and post it for the rest to see. as it would help foster more general discussion in the forums as well.

and it seems the results have been positive so far, kinda doesn't matter to me how much hits i get (although the recent one i created with Ac3 and that only getting like 5 hits was a surprise, seems people dont care for that dlc :P), but according to the data that we see, the threads ive created seem to have drawn a decent crowd to them ( again going by the public data we see, some of them got more views that some of the news stories that patrick and alex post), and ive gained followers for doing this, and my account hasnt been killed yet by the mod/staff overlords, so the reception has been positive.

but hey, if its a problem with the mods/staff i hope they pm me to stop instead of straight up killing my account, as ill gladly stop with no vitriol if its an issue.

I think I'd prefer another Time Splitters over another Wolfenstein, but hey, can't be any worse than the last.

Well it's not that I want another WW2 shooter, it's just that Wolfenstein has always been a bit silly and over the top while being a lot of fun. FPS just need to take a chill pill, you know?

i just think that having a world war 2 style shooter would be interesting to see how the public would react to it, wouldnt be surprised if this wolfenstein (if it comes out) gets a following cause of it

I thought the last one was pretty good.

Does the world really need another Wolfenstein game? I mean, who gives a shit? That last game wasn't really anything more than an average shooter with the veil gimmick.

I betcha a bottle of gin that the people on this board will play it more than madden of that year.

The 2009 Wolfenstein game was pretty fun, I played the 360 version though and JESUS CHRIST THE MULTIPLAYER FRAMERATE HOLY COW.
