Over G fighters, for some reason my mother didn't want to buy a new game with my xbox. After that came Burnout Revenge (which I never played). I got Saint's Row a few weeks after I got my xbox 360 and I played it A LOT.
$10 Ridge Race, a great pick up from hurting paying $400!!! Game was well worth $10 and even had online that was rockin back then, don't really know why it was clearance priced but I had fun.
I got viva pinata with my xbox and picked up Bioshock just on an impluse 20 min later because i herd it got good reviews and i liked the art style and was very glad i did becaus Bioshock is probably one of my favorite games
I got my 360 when it came with 4 free games. I think they were Gun, Ridge Racer, GRAW, and the live arcade disk. But the reason I bought my 360 was to play Gears of War and I think that's the game I would of played first.
I bought Oblivion and Gears of War when I picked up my Xbox. I think I ended up playing Gears first, but went to Oblivion after the first chapter or so...
I bought my 360 when GTA IV came out, it came with GRAW 2 and Rainbow 6 Vegasa (both blew). When I bought my Elite, BF: Bad Company came with it (it also blew. Worse).
I bought Mass Effect and Oblivion two months before I bought my 360 during a really good sale. It was a 2 for $30 deal I believe, which means I got Mass Effect for $15 just a couple of months after it first came out.
I got COD2 and Perfect Dark Zero first even before I had a 360 (couldn't find one for a while). A friend had one so we played on his. But this gen really felt like it started for me once Oblivion came out. I vividly remember the sense of scale of the world and the freedom in it...Just amazing. Patrick Stewart's role, no matter how short, was just icing on the cake.
Crackdown, which is still to this day the most fun I've had with a game this console generation. I also bought my brother a copy of Forza 2 at the same time, which I ended up getting around to playing myself a couple of years later and really enjoying, much to my surprise. And since I bought two games, I got a third one of lesser value for free, and the only thing I had any sort of interest in that was available was Smackdown Vs Raw 2007, which I also got a fair bit of enjoyment out of.
COD4 and Bioshock were the games I was given with the 360 (birthday present) and then I bought Crackdown. Crackdown = fun, developers should learn from it and stop making such boring, joyless 360 fodder.
Project Gotham Racing 3, Perfect Dark Zero and Condemned. I remember putting in PGR3 and played it for like 2 days straight before even thinking of putting PD0 or Condemned in. I played about 2 hours of PD0 SP before I knew it was trash, and Condemned turned out to be my sleeper game of the launch that I just picked up on a whim.
