    On a 4x4 grid, slide pieces with numbers on them either up, down, left, or right. After every move a 2 piece or a 4 piece will appear in a random position on the board. When two of the same numbers are slid together, their pieces combine and the number doubles.

    Overview

    2048 is a single-player online and mobile game created in March 2014 by 19-year-old Italian web developer Gabriele Cirulli, in which the objective is to slide tiles on a grid to combine them and create a tile with the number 2048.

    This game is inspired by 1024, which was in turn inspired by Threes!
