    3D Realms was a Texas-based video game studio, most famous for developing the Duke Nukem series of games. In 2014 the name was acquired and it now refers to a studio based out of Denmark.

    What is this I´m reading?! 3D Realms has shut down?! one of the greatest studios of my childhood. An awesome developer with so many great titles under its belt. Its really sad to see them slowly go down like they´ve been doing lately. 3D Realms REALLY knew their shooters and they had so much old school buzz surrounding the studio. I dont´really know what to say other than read more about it here and weep. I was actually really hoping for Duke Nukem Forever this year aswell.. Turns out those hopes was thrown in my face instead and Duke Nukem Forever will forever be mocked.

    In brighter news, Wolf 3D turned 17 on May 5th. Congratulations to the game and to ID Software for creating the genre. Go read more about that here !

    From what I've heard 3D Realms is really close to shutting down, but Take Two has publishing rights for Duke Nukem: Forever.
    So maybe we see Duke Nukem: Forever but probably nothing after that thou

    They made Duke Nukem 3D, so I think they've put their mark on history. God rest their souls!

    It's disappointing. Everyone's just used to this idea now, but I still can't believe that it took them 12 years to try to make a game. Try and fail.
