A solid Arcade shooter
Aegis wing is done by interns working for microsoft. You can tell that these guys love what they do. There isn't much story for this game, but it is basically made to throw you in and give you a fast paced arcade experience. It has 2-D gameplay with 3-D backgrounds. The game blends nicely and online co-op is fun to play. Achievements are typical and not impossible. Music does sometimes get repetitive, so you may want to use your own. All in all this game is worth trying out and if you need a break from the in depth stories of our gen games and want some arcade style shooting. Plus its free so you won't have to worry about getting nickel and dimed. The multi player is also local or online with 4 players and you can mix the planes together to as one person drives and the other three shoot as if in a turrent. Power ups allow you to shoot black holes, lasers, missles, and shields.
