    Like the movie...

    SINGLEPLAYER

I just got the special edition yesterday because Best Buy got me the 360 version instead of the ps3, and have been playing it for several hours on coop with my friend. The game is a little confusing at first. Aliens blend in with the environment, guns are horribly inaccurate, and objectives are confusing. What makes the game even more hectic is upgrading weapons. When you start its difficult to customize weapons and there is no indication in the beginning letting you know you can even upgrade. Aliens take half a mag to kill, and the bullets spray everywhere.

However, after for playing for a couple of hours, I began to get into it. I realized they ARE trying to make this like the movies. Rewatch aliens. You'll notice their aim is sloppy, bullets are being fired at random, and nothing make sense. Lots of cover fire, running away, and disoriented objectives; same in the game.

The game itself is short, but a ton of fun to play over mic. It DOES have a split screen function that i'd give a 8/10. The AI is a little dumb, but you have too many NPC to shoot to really care about that. Also there is one part of the game where you have no weapons and have to sneak around from aliens that are blind, but have exceptional hearing. As a Metal Gear Solid fan I loved playing it at 1:00am coop.

    MULTIPLAYER

Huge disappointing turd. There is NO splitscreen for the multiplayer, even though it is available in the game. Its a hit-and-die game, but I paid for it so.... ya might see me on there. (shame)

I got this game because I love the franchise and I thought this game wouldn't be so bad, but oh god I was wrong. This game as a whole took 12 years to develop, only a little less than Duke Nukem Forever. As a result, it ended up looking like an unfinished product rushed at release riddled with bugs and glitches and a terrible storyline, despite the overly long development time. Coincidently enough, these two games were developed by Gearbox Software and they developed both games at the same ti...
