Overview
Alvin Gottlieb is the son of pinball company Gottlieb founder David Gottlieb. Born in the same year that the D. Gottlieb Company was incorporated, Alvin spent decades building pinball machines before founding his own short-lived pinball manufacturer in the form of Alvin G. & Co. in 1991.
Alvin was inducted into the Pinball Hall of Fame at the 2006 Pinball Expo.
Outside of pinball, Alvin is closely associated with the Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Illinois, which he oversaw the building of, as well as overseeing its operations for many years.
Gottlieb moved to Florida in his later years, where he eventually passed away passed away at the age of 86.
