Chibi PlayStation Dudes ModNation Attack!!

Pursuant to our recent podcast discussion about the potential for a PlayStation-themed kart racer, these images of tiny, cutesy, ModNation versions of Sony favorites like Kratos, Nathan Drake, and Ratchet & Clank were too ludicrous not to post. 
 
Apparently these guys can be obtained as preorder bonuses from GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon, respectively. I'm not nearly crazy enough to run out and preorder a game to get a hold of these chibi dudes, but I'm just crazy enough to post their pictures!

 I thought the whole draw of the game was the customization of your own racer and car. why whould that target market want to ride around as someone elses character?

Not crazy enough to go out and preorder for one of the characters?  I am considering preordering from all 3 places just to play with all of them.

Ratchet and Kratos look creepy, and someone would have to tell me that it's Nathan Drake for me to see the similarities (which are still somewhat hard to see).  Clank looks good though.
 
Having these pre-made models are useless though.  The character customization in the beta was really good.  You're gonna want to create your own characters instead.

If I owned a PS3 I could see preordering this because I'm a sucker for these kinds of things.

No, just... no. Sony should of had them use Sackpeople instead for ultimate synergy. Those things in ModNation Racers scare me.

I dig it! KInda weird lookin, but sure why not. Rachet looks awesome, I dig how out of place and creepy Kratos looks.
 
Kinda hate when they have these bonuses at different retailers, same thing happened with LBP.
I guess you aren't allowed to like ratchet and kratos!

I am interested.  But not pre-ordering, Littlebigplanet launch week didn't go so hot online, so going to wait a bit to pick this up.

The only thing holding me back from getting hyped for this was the crazy long load times in the beta. Then again, it WAS a beta. So we shall see.

See now if i were sure the game wouldn;t be as glitchy and have long ass load times like the beta I'd love to race as Kratos

Hopefully there's a nice sex minigame to go along with Kratos.

I have heard from a reliable source that you can't beat a hundred percent.

@BD_Mr_Bubbles: Aww now be fair, that was a real beta (not a beta that's a demo), so I'm sure fixing those things are top priority. Give them the benefit of the doubt until release. A lot of that stuff gets optimised at the end.

Preorder bonuses are killing games nowadays. I have to preorder at a certain retailer in order to get an in-game item? F that! It should be available in the game at launch.

Am I a bad person for being tempted to do a best-buy pre-order? Yeah... yeah I am.

I don't think a handful of bonus characters are going to kill the game. The whole point of the game is to make your own character anyway, so who cares? "

It's not just free characters. Sometimes games exclude multiplayer modes, maps, and weapons to those who have only preordered the game. Think about it next time. "

Something about these balloon heads remind me of
Mr. Garrison in that episode where he tried the drugs
he speaks against.. and how someone thought this was
an appealing character design is a little beyond me - 
but the game looks fun so I'm hoping there's a demo eventually!

They look like Mighty Muggs.

Wife wanted a kart racer game for her birthday so I went ahead and pre-ordered this through amazon.  The rewards are meh.
