I have watched both of the endurance runs TWICE. (While skipping through some repetitive parts the second time through)

I think it is about time I finally play this game and I hope the directors cut changes and adds enough to make it worthwhile.

As much charm as the game had, I can't picture buying this and playing through it again. Maybe if they re-do the engine, improve graphics, all controls, improve systems like the map, and cut out all of the stupid ass shit that goes down and focusing on the actually interesting story, which, mind you, hits very dull once you find out who the killer is ANYWAY.

I foresee this just adding a lot of unnecessary shit to the storyline, stuff which the game could have done without in the first place.

I suppose that's a good point. The game has a fanbase now and I guess they may use that to their advantage, just to see how much we'd be willing to pay. But y'know what, I would totally pay... $30, erm so like £20-£25 I think, for this enhanced version of Deadly Premonition. Any higher and they'd be pushing it...

I completely agree, I already have the game, but I am willing to pay more than $30, not only because I love the game but because I also want to support SWERY and his crazy ideas.

Cool. I was considering ordering the 360 version the other day after finishing the Persona 4 ER and not wanting to watch Brad fumble through Wall Ladies again. But I think I'll wait for this re-release. Then again I said that about Shadow of the Colossus, and haven't gotten around to it due to certain complications with hooking up my PS3 to my gaming screen (read: severe laziness; I gotta swap a cable every time) so who knows if I'll follow through.

I never did get around to playing this.Looks like ill be pickin up the ps3 version

Holy sweet I can finally buy a copy of this and play it instead of going to my friend's to play his 360 version. Also, not sure how I feel about the reworked controls. Are they going to make it better? I feel like it would take away some of the charm about this game if they did anything other than just add new story stuff.

I remember back when this came out the first time, when asked what he would have put into the game if he had more time and money, SWERY said that he would have left the player ride a bike and allow York to wear cologne. And that's just TWO reasons to get the director's cut.

I'd play this, having loved the Endurance Run, but I'm not sure it'd be as much fun to play as to watch Vinny and Jeff hate their way through it...

Great news! Finally I can get around to play this :)

So of course I had to sell my PS3 before knowing this is coming to it. The only reason I would ever buy a 360 is for this game, and the price isn't justifiable. To bad there's unlikely to ever be a PC version of this magnificent game! Still, glad Swery has gotten enough positive feedback to make a PS3 version of the game!

Btw, "Scenario" is Japanese loan word for story/plot in this context. i.e. When you see something like "lead scenario director" in Japanese game credits, it's the same as "lead writer" or "creative director", etc. in Western games.
