In most so called RPGs you aren't even playing a role but rather controlling another established character, which isn't exactly the definition of a true RPG. I personally think most games that go under the RPG genre are there for marketing clarity rather than actual game mechanics. JRPGs being the strongest example (Most JRPGs have you controlling established characters such as FF's Cloud or Lightning).  "

Exactly, a lot of games are RPGs in a sense. However the term RPG isn't used towards that definition. It's really more of a marketing term to give some identity to the RPG genre. "

Game looks so crazy. Crazy in a great way, but also crazy in a how-could-this-ever-come-out-in-the-US kinda way.

I'd bet money that this means we won't see another proper Persona game.

It seems they are connected, either by him having to chose between them or possibly something more sinister, but I'm excited to find out what it is eventually but it is fun to guess. "

I'd really like to know the name of the girlfriend, she looked really peed off at the end of that video (don't blame her) but she could very much be hormonal due to the fact she is prego.  What would be a really good twist is that everything was a dream and he never cheated on his girlfriend and the baby they had looks like Catherine XD "

They said they wanted to test the waters with Catherine on the PS3/360 before jumping into their usual RPGs, which implies that they have plans for an RPG on the PS3/360 after this, and they also heavily hinted that they were working on a Persona game right now. Granted it is possible that the Persona they are working on is for the 3DS and the MegaTen game they have in mind won't come until later, but that still means we're going to get a Persona on HD consoles eventually.
