Initial Slate of Vita-Compatible PSP Games Revealed

Does this list apply to Japan too, then? Because I'm not seeing the newest Monster Hunter on there.

Sony's own Resistence: Retribution isn't even on there.... What?

Have to say some games work that aren't on that list- including valkyria chronicles and gta vice city stories, I want news on burnout legends though, I'm still playing that game to this day

the HD collection according to a screen shot released this week shows that its just mgs 2 and mgs 3 no peace walker

No Persona games.

I own Tactics Ogre and I've barely played Ghost of Sparta so I'll download both of those (Just picked up my 32gb Vita Memory Card today actually), but guess I'll have to wait on Persona 3 Portable and Peace Walker. I have Jeanne D'Arc on UMD but I will buy it again once that becomes available. Altogether not a terrible backwards compatible start.

Edit: Actually now I'm super curious if Sony has anything in place to transfer save files. I'm guessing not which is sad because I'm too far into P3P to start again (considering P3P was my 3rd attempt to finish that game).

Its kinda funny that during the entire life span of the PSP people have been complaining it never had any games, yet now people complain that their favorit games aren't on this big ass list.

I would pay serious money for Tales of Eternia. Sold my copy of it and have always regretted it.

@Enigma777: Hopefully they will be in the coming weeks. I own quite a few of those games and more (bought on my PSP Go). I was hoping that I could just take all of the PSP games I bought and could put them on the Vita. Guess that isn't gonna happen, at least for now. Now I can delay that 32gb memory card until they put games I really want to play on the list.

Every PSP game I want is on the list so I'm pretty happy.

Guys, I have personally tested a whole bunch of PSP games on the Vita tonight that are NOT on that list. That list is just games that can be downloaded directly to the Vita. If you are copying them across from a PS3 or PC then pretty much every game seems to work.

All of the following games not on the list, from the US PSN store, work on my Vita:

Valkyria Chronicles II.

GUN: Showdown

GTA: Chinatown Wars

GTA: Vice City Stories

Killzone Liberation

LittleBigPlanet

Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlords.

Relax guys, the games all work, it's just how you get them onto the device that currently matters.

Well, every single PSP game I have bought is on this list. I guess I'm good.

whatever im still keeping my psp, and disk games... but i admit it would be nice to have ALL my hard copies as DL copies as well so i dont have to have both the vita AND the psp to lug along if i want to play alittle both

No Grand Theft Auto games. The digital versions of Liberty and Vice City Stories have framerate problems on regular PSP. I was planning to see if a transition to Vita's PSP emulation would alleviate the problem. I was also hoping to play Chinatown Wars as well. Dang. Here's hoping the list gets updated as fast as possible.

Weird. I thought Sony had a working PSP emulator. Are they requiring developers to recompile the code or something? Seems like all titles should be working.

All I see on that list is Persona, Persona, Persona!

Im really disappointed with this list. None of the games that ill be continuing to play are on it (Chinatown Wars, VC 2, Metal Gear).

Cladun and Persona 3 are there, that's all I needed to know :D

I can just take all my PSPGo games from Mediago and dump them onto my vita if/when I get one.

So 3 of the 20+ PSP titles I own are compatible? Well zero really, those 3 games are on UMD.
