Interested in the PlayStation Home beta?

I'm still excited about Home, even though it seem like forever (it's finally only a few more months away). I just hope that it's worth the wait.

Keeping up with my real home is complicated enough.  I'll pass.

I can't wait. I play on the PLAYSTATION Network everyday, so I hope I'm considered active enough. I downloaded the theme, it's pretty nice actually.

Meh, I guess I will.

downloaded it earlier in hopes. I really want Home to work out well. If they can get everything ironed out and working right it could be fantastic. Otherwise, well..... the laughing at Home will continue. Here's to hoping for a successful beta at the end of the month or so.

I'm interested enough to dl it and try it out if i get picked, but seriously the longer this thing takes the less I seem to care.

A strange way to choose beta participants but I'll take it. I'll download the theme when I get home but I doubt I'll be chosen considering I just got my PS3 and my only played game is Metal Gear Solid 4.

The idea is an interesting gimmick. I never had any interest in the Sims, so a beta for a sims-like experience is something I'll pass on. I won't really have a choice once it's finished.

The "download-a-theme-to-get-a-chance" deal is kind of stupid if you ask me. It's Sony trying to make you download a... stupid theme and I hope it's FREE - otherwise...
I haven't got a PS3 and probably won't get it anytime soon but hey I would try this thing out if I had a PS3. See there are three things that factor in a purchase of a console: first of all is the game library, secondly - of course - the price and thirdly - and I think most importantly - is what consoles your friends have. The last factor also fits in with the concept of Home - if your friends are into Home and are actively using it so will you. Of course if Home is going to be a friendly place you might find new friends but those will be your Home friends and never "the real deal" ...

@lp007: The theme is free. The reason Sony makes you download the theme is so they can get a record of an entry ballot. It's much easier than signing up or something, and more people get a chance since they all check the PLAYSTATION Store instead of a gaming web site telling them where the sign-ups are. No one is forcing you to use the theme. All that's simply happening is you're downloading a free theme to but in a ballot for your entry. Home isn't also purely a friendly area. There's game zones where you meet up with your clan, enter the battle room, and right before a war, you can plan out strategies with a virtual map with clan members about when you want to go. If you have a movie on your hard-drive, invite people into your apartment and watch the video. It works well for gaming purposes, and friends who share content with other friends. You can also play pool if you just feel like chilling lol. Home is just a place to kick back and relax with friends if you can't be with them, or use some of its features in your advantage for gaming purposes.

I'm still excited and definitely want in on the fun as I've got buddies that are already in the Beta. Once again, I'm on the outside looking in. me am cry

I just wana see what home is really like. i dont feel i can really formulate an opinion on home until i get some hands on time with it. How ever there is nothing on PSN that i really want to play, and because PSN activity is a factor in getting into the beta. i just load up warhawk go into a server and just sit there and play XBL insted. Cheap and diry? oh yes! But until October comes around there is really nothing on the PS3 i want to play... Ok september there is SOCOM and Residence beta's i do wana play them.

I'm definitely interested.  And it's not like I NEED Home to justify my PS3 purchase.  So I'll continue to play GTA4, probably buy Burnout Paradise and play that, and wait patiently.  Thats what being a gamer is all about, waiting for stuff.

I have a Second Life account that I never use, but I've always wanted that same experience minus the furries and giant dildos. With Home, I may just get it.

its great that you will be able to hang out with your friends in Home, but id rarther do it in person, im still excited for it though

I downloaded this the day it came out. Thanks for posting this. I have been doing more online stuff, and downloading stuff from the store in hope that will get it.
