Need a way to get rid of $400 real fast this November?
Microsoft confirmed reports based on leaked package shots earlier this morning with the announcement of Kinect bundle that comes with the sleek and sexy 250GB Xbox 360 S model. The bundle, which will retail for $400 in the US, hits store shelves the same date Microsoft's hands-free controller hits the market, this November 4, 2010, according to Microsoft.
No special bells and whistles will be included in this HDD-tastic bundle, unless of course, you consider the inclusion of Kinect Adventures with Kinect a bonus.
If a behemoth $400 bundle isn't in your price range, but you really want to get in on the experience, you do have a few more options. You could purchase Kinect device's stand-alone bundle with Kinect Adventures this November for the price of $150. You could also grab a much more wallet-friendly $300 Kinect bundle with the 4GB Xbox 360 S. Do note, though, that the 4GB unit has a matte finish as opposed to the glossy one that the current crop of Xbox 360 S consoles, as well as the 250GB Xbox 360 S/Kinect bundle, has.

now that it's about to come out and the hype machines have started rolling at full steam, I can say with full certainty that Kinect still seems like a stupid piece of shit
AWESOME!! I've been wanting to get a the new Xbox360-S, and well... I'm definitely getting Kinect & Dance Central... so this whole package seems pretty cool
I'm probably just gonna wait for kinect to go doww in price, same with Move. I am just really excited for games that use the other features of Kinect, like Facial recognition and voice recognition. I could sit down on the couch with controller in hand with some yet unnanounced game, and sometimes during the gameplay I'd have to say something, scan my face, etc. Or like, scan my face and put it on a customizable character.
Or even just small movements like Samus's door-breaking whip thing in Corruption.
Kinect sounds cool, I just don't want to be moving around lol. I'm not lazy I just don't think that's how games should be played.
What's the point in changing it into a matte finish. Just to make it all the more complicated when you go in and buy one? Seriously, it's not like it's a completely different system. It's just stupid imo. I don't mind the matte finish, but why can't they all just have matte finishes or glossy finishes. Sheesh!
I can live with my 360 at the moment, it has a HDD, has HDMI and um has controllers. I might buy Kinect at some point when its less expensive but equally maybe not if the best game that we can expect is Dance Central. I can go to Nightclubs if I want to dance. :D

I LOVE YOU. Unless you didn't actually come up with that. But even then I like you a lot just for bringing it to attention. I'm excited, I just wish I had a job. Being a youngster really bites some times, its hard to get a job at 17, and there's no other way for me to get enough money for all the stuff coming out between now and like the end of February. Seeing Kinect at PAX though, I think I can afford to wait until better things are released with good support.

Same reason the launch 360s had different finishes and $400 for this bundle seems like a lot.
so much hate....how bout some enthusiasm for all this new stuff, Kinect, Move, bigger hard drives, new games! Sometimes it feels like people would be content if nothing new ever came out and they just played CoD over and over.
Just for future reference, when you say 2K you're actually saying 2000.
That aside, I'm trying to figure out what average parent would want to spend $400 over $200 for their family this holiday, when they will probably think the two systems are the same motion control thing anyway.
Can't wait until my cable T.V. gets clogged with Kinect commercials.
In the end though, kids will still want Mario. I'm not going to get a Kinect, however I am still interested to see how it's going to do in sales this November.
I was planning on buying this even after the lackluster e3 showing. I'm somewhat shocked that haven't announced a single thing since then to convince me this isn't more than a stop-gap gimmick.

The Giant Bomb community hates everything. I've realized this after browsing the comments on videos.
Console prices aren't suppose to go up! I know this includes Kinect but to me to seems Microsoft and Sony are just finding ways to keep the price from dropping by increasing HDD size and adding peripherals. Apple has had more influence on gaming than they think.
So now we have a 320gb PS3 bundle with Move and a 250gb 360 bundle with Kinect both for the same price.
.... Which is the better deal I wonder. With the move bundled with the PS3, you only have enough stuff for singleplayer Move stuff (if even that. remember, some games need two move controlers) where as with kinect you can have 2 people playing with the same Kinect device. No addons needed for it.
