Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s bulging roster was revealed to be even more… bulgy this morning with the reveal of an additional two characters. Taskmaster and, yes, Akuma will indeed join the rest of the cast of the game, bringing the total of the on-disc roster thus far to around 34 members.
According to a Joystiq report, Akuma was first spotted in a retailer listing, though his name has been thrown around in various character “lists.” Taskmaster was also a rumored character, having been seen in a purported comic tie-in to the game.

One run through the arcade campaign, apparently, will net you enough PP to unlock Akuma, so prepare to do around four to get access to Taskmaster.
