The PAX Prime Panel Plan

wait, whats the justification of a panel even happening if there isn't a Q&A, isn't that like, the point?

otherwise its just like a weird glorified public podcast basically. granted the Q&A's are always fucking awful but still, panels are supposed to have Q&As, im PRETTY sure thats like the entire point.

@wjb: Yes. Starting with "I have TWO questions, actually" or some such nonsense when there is a line of people behind you should be immediate disqualification.

I was there almost two hours early too and yeah, that was pretty messed up. We must have been waiting together the whole time. I was the last group to go in before the line. The two MASSIVE groups that they let in had gotten there long after we did. It was totally backwards.

Yeah we probably were. I was the one person with a vita among an ocean of ds's. There was also the fact that there was no line for the panel until an hour or so before, so we were waiting in the hall, and then the enforcers came along and started yelling "EVERYONE FOR GIANT BOMB, MOVE THIS WAY AND DON'T CROSS THIS LINE" and then there were 100 people pushing in front of us. It was my first PAX and my only complaint was the disorganization. I know the enforcers have an impossible job, but it felt like no one was in charge, and they all told us to do something different.

I just moved to Vancouver, I could totally have gone to PAX, but that never even occurred to me until a couple days ago, and so instead I got a gig I really need to be at on Friday.

Meeting a fellow duder at the GB panel on Friday. He asked me to save his place in line ahead of time. Etiquette? I'm cool with saving the spot, but don't want to piss off any folks who've been waiting longer.

Im 5 blocks away from PAX right now. Someday, I will go to it. Someday.

Will Alex Navarro be dropping in at all? We don't get enough of that guy.

I flew to Seattle yesterday for my first PAX ever!! Not to mention, it's my first vacation at all in about 8 years.

It's my dream to one day go to Pax Prime, but it's a long way to go (from the UK) and none of my friends (so called friends) want to go.

Instead I create my own Pax, right here in my house. I spread all my games around the house and imagine they're booths. I talk to my Action Men as if they're developers and at the end of the day I arrange them all as if they were an audience and I do a three hour long panel. This years panel is about depression.

Eerie, watching that PAX East panel now. It was right before the 38 studios closure.

Panel was great. Wish Dave Lang had been there. He will be missed.

Panel yesterday was awesome. I'd been listening to the podcasts for a few weeks but seeing the guys and the crowd interact made me decide to join. To the guy who provided the 40 cents: Well played sir, well played.
