TNA iMPACT! Commentary With Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal

Midway's first wrestling game in well over a decade is out next week. Check out this footage, narrated by Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal.

I want to say that this video speaks for itself, but perhaps it does need a little setup. It's a pair of the wrestlers in Midway's upcoming TNA iMPACT! doing commentary while their in-game equivalents bust each other up.

Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal's faux-trash-talking is totally ridiculous in a way I can totally get behind. Give it a look. The game hits stores next week. As closet wrestling fan who has become increasingly disenfranchised with the wrestling games that have been coming out for the past five or six years, I'm interested to see if this game will be any good. It's felt pretty nice the last few times I've played it.

I'm on the fence on this because of the limited feature set of what is offered in the game. I hope the gameplay outshines that to make it worth a purchase. Maybe they should pull a Burnout Paradise and do periodic updates with the game with more modes and wrestlers rather than releasing annual sequels.

I was totally gonna get this, but as time went on it's missing features became more apparent.

The next TNA !MPACT! game after this one will probably be excellent.

I'd pay for this game if I could get Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal to do live commentary on matches.

That'll never happen, of course, but that was about the most awesome part of the video. The game itself looks kind of lacking.

Seems a bit slow. TNA wrestling is usually a lot faster. Granted, its a video game. Also, i agree with Jay, where is the ref? lol

The game looks not good at all.
But that's mostly because I like wrestling simulation, not arcade. Check out King of Colosseum 2 for a superior wrestling game.

Looks alright. But doesn't appear to be doing anything that SVR hasn't done already. The commentary was pretty funny, though I still can't get over how much Jay Lethal is just a HUGE rip-off of Randy Savage.

Jay Lethal is one of the funniest men on the planet

As for "lack of features" as long as there's a solid career and create-a-wrestler, I think as long as it plays better than Smackdown VS Raw, it'll be a revelation.
