Best category EVAR *ahem*... um ever!
OH NO! missed a bunch of sports related games. Man, the GB fans are missing out on that one. (sarcasm intended)
I think this is the longest "years most" video. I guess you gotta get it out of your system
Why not give the award to ALL of them and have them come up for an encore Giant Bomb GOTY Cameo?oh... Brad get a fuckin Norelco! ;)
Just twiddling my thumbs till Dark Athena comes out, but really Diesel should give up live action and stick to voice acting. He's really super awesome that way.
Sorry I watched this video like five times over paying attention to the reaction off Jeff and Ryan's faces. In NO WAY DOES THIS REPRESENT gb's actual view. I'm just a dude making observations... that probably are in no way accurate.Burnout Paradise: Jeff likes it... no surprise and Ryan seems to hide a smile, but not GOTY yet.GTAIV's reaction is quick and paltry. There's some respect to the GTA franchise ...
Backwards Compatible Nominees? But yeah I see the point for the fact most of these games still took up a large portion of the '08 market. COD4:MW was THE best MP game IMO (and whatever other acronyms I can give in FULL CAPS). Uncharted should have been up in this list instead of Assassin's Creed or Crackdown. Just saying, but you disagree.
HAHA! I love how you approached this. If I had a DS then handsdown it'd be the KORG, stil Linger in Shadows presents itself exactly as it is and is super cheap. I vote for LiS just because I have actually played it, but still want the fricken DS sound machine!
Really!?!! you want to make choices?!?!?!? Your friends are ALL awesome. How can you make a choices?!?!?! They ALL win if you get them to guest spot for another time. I miss all of their gaming wisdom. Kasavin knew things...
YellowNumber5 agrees with ReTarDedFisHy.
MGS4 no shit. but from any of the other games it is Wipeout, but I haven't played yet LBP or Valkyria Chronicles."tv's were not ready for Wipeoout"... yep 1996 could only do so much... so true.
I was freaking out and crying and drunk (no connection to actual intended gameplay) at the end of FFVII: Crisis Core. Wipeout is always awesome, but Pulse was a little punishing.
I havn't played braid, so just because it has been doing "it" forever now... I give it to rez. That Auditorium flash game that Brad introduced to the GB audience I think should be the game of the year for this category,
Yeah Crysis.... if you have the hardware, and it is pretty. MGS4 because of what they pulled from the PS3 system. I want a nomination for Wipeout HD. That is the one and only game that they truly focused and designed to have their graphics in full 1080p and 60fps. My hat is off to Studio Liverpool for doing that.
"great fan service without being pandering"Paradise , regardless of the new DLs still isn't as fun as Revenge.Yeah I haven't played Gears 2, but on hearsay it is still a toss up for me to rather keep MGS4 as best sequel.

Sometimes technically impressive, but has a few annoying quirks.
(PS3)
There is a lot to be said about Far Cry 2 for its technical feats. This open world game based seemingly somewhere between the Tropic of Cancer and Equator of Africa gives an impressive realism to this environment. Much like other open world based games there is day and night ...

A classic has never looked better.
(PSN)
I must admit... I always sucked at Street Fighter. I've played these games since SF2 at the arcades and those that came out for the SNES. Even though I've never been good at them, it still was a worthwhile for a handfull of friends to meet up in an arcade, ...

Co-op is a blast for those who play well with others.
(PS3)
Resistance 2 is a game that tries to spread itself out evenly between multiplayer and single player. It takes some risks which unevenly pay off. Overall the game is not more than the sum of its parts, but there are some parts worth noting.Resistance 2 continues the story of Nathan ...

Although aged, Dune II to this can show its place in RTS history.
(PC)
Remember when Sound Blasters were new? This had been the game to make it worth finally upgrading to that fancy 386 with the turbo button, 4 megs of RAM, and a Sound Blaster game card. That is what my best friend at the time did, and made me ever so ...
