We Actually Have a Release Window for Diablo III

I can't wait for Diablo III. I've been watching so many videos of people playing through the beta! Between that and Sykrim my whole next 6+ months is going to be successfully filled.

I'm so excited for this! Never got the chance to play Diablo 1 or 2.

Kind of glad in a way with so many other games to play. At the same time it would be nice to finally play it after all these years. Come on beta invite!

Because somewhere Gabe is sitting in his recliner thinking, "You know. We should ship Half-Life Episode 3 as soon as possible."

I'm guessing these people at Valve and Blizzard would be living in total hell if they had to work at EA where they have to kick out clones every year or have to work on a game where they don't have forever and a day to complete something.

I believe in Diablo III being released when I finish Diablo III.

First off, good news for Runic. Torchlight 2 will sell more millions this fall now. Second, this delay to 2012 means a very doable simultaneous multiplatform release. Do people really not know Blizz has port teams already working to bring DIII to 360 and PS3?

well, since no other blizzard game has interested me as much as this, i get to miss out on the beta.

The interface shoudt be so troublesome. The limited ammount of skills your allowed at a time fits on the track of controllers

You really don't need a new PC Starcraft 2 wasn't exactly system straining, if you have anything north of a Q6600 quad then you may as well save money and buy a 560ti super overclock and blow the dust out.

Hope there is enough space between this and Mass Effect 3.

To date, I don't believe they've even begun starting inviting opt-in beta accounts, so the promise of "more to come" is kinda'.../shrug. Anyway, I've gotten the impression from Jay's interviews that there's been a lot of hemming and hawing on the development side of things. Not that they don't have a clear vision, just that the edges are fuzzy. And since 99% of perfection is their goal the fuzzy edges have undoubtedly caused a lot of extended development time. This delay was expected and since Blizzard can now safely say Q1 of 2012 I wouldn't expect the game before mid March.

This looks like some Diablo ass Diablo and i could'nt be more excited for it, yet the 2012 release date saddens me a bit!

@Osiris I'm hoepfully going to build one in over christmas, using it to offset some of the cost. Turns out when you need a monitor and a copy of Windows it gets pretty expensive.
