Xbox 360, Wii Receive Holiday Price Cuts

Hate to disagree with you but I think you should mention the new Sony Assassins Creed 3 PS3 bundle which is equal or better deal for $299 than the xbox360 one above. New design PS3 slim with 500GB hard drive rather than a 250GB and with a new game release (physical copy) of Assassins Creed 3 rather than old releases (not that there bad) and of course the normal stuff..controller etc..just sayin... 8)

@mewarmo990: That 360 Forza 4/Skyrim download bundle should be in stores now. I see it Best Buy ads.

& yeah, losing BC would suck, i too have fatty from launch, i hope before it dies theres a new model out with BC back in. Maybe they'll do that closer to PS4's release to draw some more sales for old hardware.

I'm really hoping for the Vita price drop this holiday or at least a really good Black Friday sale. I need my Persona fix.

Thats a decent bundle for the Xbox 360 but the price cut on the Wii is a laugh.  It needs to be $100 right now and bundled with two controllers and two nunchucks.  My woman wants one and I do kinda want one as well.  Not sure if we'll just say screw it and get it or wait it out till next year.  Thou it is funny seeing people on craigslist trying to sell theirs at near retail prices.

I was able to hold off on re-buying a Wii until last year. I had bought a Wii and Zelda on launch day and it cost me around $460. For that same amount of money last winter I bought a Wii and 20 games for it. If you can wait you really do seriously save a metric fuck ton of money.

I think "in my position" would be more reasonable than just in your general opinion. Perhaps more accurate. $250 is a pretty good price if you don't have all of the other consoles, considering you're much more likely to want more of the exclusives on the platform and less likely to have played the multiplatform games already.

With Wii's getting so cheap, maybe I'll pick one up.

Or more likely just buy the games and controllers and play it in 1080p on my computer, because I'm building a PC that will actually be capable of that finally. Cannot stand SD games at this point, otherwise I wouldn't mind shelling out the extra money.

pretty crazy to do that. i kind of think that people who want a console already have one. people who aren't poor that they can't afford anything.

The PS3 dropped to $249 a while ago, this is just MS catching up with them. I wouldn't expect a PS3 drop anytime soon.

I think the time has come for me to get a brand new X-Box 360. Don't get me wrong, I do love the system, but I've owned the one I have for three or 4 years, (it's the old white-designed box) and it feels old.

@Red: before you do that, I'm pretty sure they took out GameCube compatibility a while ago. Although there are some pretty good Wii games worth playing.

Well, now I'm tempted to buy a Wii just for Xenoblade, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Fire Emblem. I lost my gamecube a while ago and I could use a console-based nintendo fix...

Jesus, a Wii with two great games and a motion plus controller for $130 is a pretty great deal. I would almost sell my current Wii to buy that bundle if I didn't need the Gamecube ports.

Fuck yes, best news I've heard in a while. I'm" a mid-to-end cycle console adopter so it goes without saying Xbox 360 here I come!... during Black Friday that is.

Believe it or not, but there are people out there that do not own a PS3/360/Wii and those people are probably incredibly price-sensitive.

I'm not incredibly cheap but I did sell my old 60 GB Xbox 360 a while ago in order to upgrade to the newer slim version, so perhaps its the time to get one but i just tire of the old ad infested Xbox ui. I want something new and no avatars please because i just dont care for them.

Shame about the Vita, if they cut the price I might buy one, if only for P3 FES and P4 the Golden.

Sony didn't lower the price on the PS3 when they released that new model. It's still $300 and they come with Uncharted 3.

The new PS3's RRP is higher than the RRP of the Slim it replaced. Sony doesn't like price cuts, they say they like to leave it up to retailers to do that.
