Seems like we'd get along, you and me. You guys know a good game when you see one, and after compiling all of the lists that you made and totaling up the points, BioWare's Mass Effect 2 is your Game of the Year for 2010.

Below, I've included the top 60 games, which is maybe a weird number, but it's the number of games that scored over 500 points in the voting. These results were compiled from the top ten entries on your "Best of 2010" lists. Games appearing in the first slot got 10 points, second place got nine, and so on down the line. The below list offers two numbers with each game, and those are the number of lists that included the game and the total number of points scored, respectively.

Now I feel bad.  I JUST got a chance to play VVVVV and Picross after hearing Jeff talk about them.  They are both awesome!  And neither made my list.  Sorry Picross - you could have been 39!

I think it's awesome that Game Dev Story made the list. That and Peace Walker, which is definitely the best MGS game since 3. 
 
I'm not going to jump on the community, though. I just think it's cool to get the top games from the gamer's perspective on the whole, since players rate things more on personal love than critical points and whatnot. Just Cause 2 should be higher, though! Bowlo Santozee is not happy.

I gave the edge to Red Dead but I have no problem with ME2 getting the top spot. Well deserved.

You know what... I could complain about this list but really I expected it to be much worse. 
 I personally think SC2 should be in the top 3 and bump out either RDR or AC:B but 4th is perfectly respectable. 
I am surprised that Bad company 2 got 7th and I am delighted! The game deserves it for being such a fun multiplayer game.  
And lastly, Civ5 making it into the top 10 is well deserved and unexpected.   
After replaying mass effect 2 for the DLC and making sure all my people lived I honestly can not take 1st place away from the game... It is just so good.  
 
 
Good job giant bomb community! I am glad to see that I agree with so many of you.  
 
And I just got done playing Picross 3d while taking a shit. Eat my shit fable III.

Yay! I'm glad the potentially best game of all time made it to number 1~! and that New Vegas was on the top ten, I loved that buggy game.

I re ranked the the top 20 based on the ratio suggested by remixrunixip. Its significance is based on the probably flawed assumption that if you did not rank a game in your top ten, then you did not play it. That said, it is still likely that this list better captures the strength of the game based on those who played it (instead of overweighting a game just because it was played by a lot of people).  
 
The big positive movers are Super Mario Galaxy 2, Rockband 3, and Super Street Fighter IV. 
  
Conclusion: More people should play Super Mario Galaxy 2, Rockband 3, and Super Street Fighter IV.

Baffling that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is at 14. Best game of the year along with ME2. Even mediocre games like Bayonetta are higher!

It upsets me that Sin and Punishment didn't even make the top 60! Its top of my list no question.
Did nobody buy it? I don't know of anyone playing it and not loving it.
Best music, best art design and best bosses.

Glad to see Super Meat Boy get the love it deserves. Also, glad Super Mario Galaxy 2 crushed Kirby on the Wii front. Kirby was cute and had some charm, but Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the one of the greatest games ever made.

Deadly Premonition had worse gameplay, graphics and audio than FF but the story, characters and bizarre setting was what I liked about it.

Fallout that high proves that a lot of people loved it enough to deal with the technical issues. I took Ryan's stance and am playing it through at the moment.
 
And glad to see Jeff agreeing that FFXIII is better than Deadly Premonition, much as I loved watching the Endurance Runs.

Every year I say "there is no way this year is going to be as good as last year" and I believe that until the end, then the best games of the year lists come out and I realize that "oh snap, there were some good games this year too!". Personally I'd say ME2 followed by Halo reach, both games I've spent about 100h with and still love them.
