Your Netflix Instant Queue Arrives on 3DS Today

Unless you're a shareholder, conversations about Netflix this week haven't been positive, as the company decided to raise subscription prices by decoupling streaming and disc price plans.

If you're sticking with Netflix, though, there's one more platform to stream through. Nintendo and Netflix are following up on a promise from the Game Developers Conference to deliver an application for 3DS. Today, the eShop brings Netflix.

The entirety of your content will, obviously, be available in 2D, but given the 3DS' fancy non-glasses 3D gimmick, there will be 3D content available through Netflix...eventually. As of right now, though, there isn't 3D content available through Netflix Instant--period.

When that switch happens, maybe we'll see 3D content available for 3DS users, too.

So now i can watch Twin Peaks on my DS huh?

Nintendo video for europe, not nearly as usefull

Oh boy, I can't wait to use the equivalent of this on my European DS! Oh wait...

Yup. I would get it in an instant if the Canadian selection was better. As for Netflix on the 3DS... I guess it's cool.

Now I can finally not watch Netflix on my PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Macbook, and iPod touch use my 3DS instead!!!!

This seems like unfortunate timing with Netflix's recent rate change angering so many of their customers. I'm curious though if there is enough crossover to really change the numbers that much between the two groups, especially considering the slower than expected adoption rate of the 3DS.

It's probably just that streaming video simply takes a lot less bandwidth when there is lower resolution.

This finally justifies the price of the 3DS.

I miss Party Down.

Any plans for browsing? I mean there seems to be menu options showing that there will be other sections to navigate to, or am I just missing something somewhere? Either way Star Trek is totally fucking rad on my 3DS right now, plus I'm stuck in bed because of a recent surgery not too long ago.
 
I like to think that Nintendo did this just for me.

I just want a media player that allows me to add my own videos to the 3DS including 3D videos. Is this so much to ask? Or is Nintendo going to keep ignoring the addition of such a basic functionality and give their customers no choice but to hack the damn thing?

Yeah, that's nice. Unfortunately, our good virtual console games haven't arrived in weeks.
...That's probably just my shitty opinion though.
