Artyom is the main character in Metro series. He was born in Moscow, but the war and destruction that drove everyone into the underground Metro happened while he was still young and he has lived the vast majority of his life in the Metro.

Beard

Beards are visible facial follicle growth, commonly associated with adult male homo sapiens. In video games, beards are commonly found in character customization systems (i.e. Rock Band) or when pirates are involved (i.e. the Monkey Island series).
Facial Hair

Facial hair consists of anything from a mustache to sideburns. Facial hair has been a close friend of gaming from the beginning.
Gas Mask

Protects against deadly gas and other pollutants.
Shotgun

The most powerful weapon at short range. Effective against Zombies, Nazis, Demons, etc. Videogame shotguns tend to have exaggerated inaccuracy at long range- real life shotguns are still fairly accurate over a decent distance, while videogame shotguns rarely go more than fifteen feet before becoming completely ineffective.
