    Atelier Annie

    No Caption Provided
Atelier is finally heading to North America, with NIA America set to bring the latest game, Atelier Annie, over from Japan.

Atelier Annie is described as sim-based SRPG melded with an alchemy RPG, whereas the past titles on the series were strictly straight-up RPG's.

Players become the owner of an alchemy resort where you head on quests to create and sell alchemy items and make the resort grow and prosper.

The game is due out in October in North America.

Is this a split off from the Altier Iris/ Mana Khemia series??
If so it would definitely be worth a look.

No, Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia are both considered part of the long-running Atelier series (Mana Khemia was called "Project A9" during development because it was the 9th game in the series), but if you're gonna call any of these games spin-offs then Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia would be the spin-offs while this game is more true to what the series was about before the Atelier Iris trilogy came along. It plays very differently and is more of a life-sim than an RPG. You really only need to explore dungeons to gather materials for the crafting system and it's mostly optional (you may not even have to fight at all if you don't want to, but I'm not entirely sure on that).

That information makes it even more appealing.  I love the art style and having played 2 of the PS2 games, this is noted in my diary to keep an eye out for.
