    Description:

    True to his name, Basil is a plant specialist in all of his appearances and will assist the protagonist in various capacities. He is generally friendly toward the main character.

    Game Appearances:

    • Harvest Moon 64 - Popuri's father and Lillia's husband. He leaves Flowerbud Village every Winter to study plants and returns in the Spring to help run the Flower Shop.
    • Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Maria's father and Anna's husband. He's a freelance plant researcher, writer and academic and wrote most of the books in Mineral Town's library. According to Anna, he's also a bit eccentric; on one of their morning hikes up the mountain, he got distracted by a plant and tumbled down a cliff.
    • Harvest Moon: Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Back to Nature." Added new events involving his plant expertise.
    • Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - He keeps his role as a plant researcher and like HM64, he'll leave in the Winter and return in the Spring. In this game, however, Basil is also a potential romantic interest!
    • Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town." There's an added event where he helps the protagonist discover a new flower crop.
