Let me put this into context. I did not really follow Bastion on GB, except to check out the rather pretty lady on the dev. crew. I think my answer is that I will buy Bastion because of Kasavin(who is decidedly not pretty) because I really liked the guy back at GS. He's gone out into the gameworld and payed his dues it would seem.

I would have still followed Bastion fairly closely, although probably not to the same degree if it weren't covered by Giant Bomb. I have fond memories of Greg Kasavin back when he worked at Gamespot and would have found out sooner or later what he was up to.

I would have, but then I buy a lot of XBLA games. I'd never not know what was in Summer of Arcade for example. And since it's XBLA, I'd have tried the demo. This would have been true even if I didn't try it out at PAX Prime.

I would have certainly checked out some of the news on it, but I wouldn't have followed it anywhere near this closely without Giant Bomb. It's actually worked out really well, Giant Bomb have had more content to run, we've been able to listen to Super Giant talk about developing in it from start to finish and Super Giant have got some good publicity for the game without it all feeling like one big plasticy corporate marketing gig.

I doubt that I would have paid as much attention to it. But from the first 5 minutes of playing the game which is basically the demo I loved it.

I probably wouldn't have bought it at launch.  I would of demo though

Probably not as much as we got to do with Building the Bastion. Would've kept an eye on it for sure anyway thou, I just love the looks of the game.

Didn't even know the game existed until I watched an Epic Battle Cry podcast that had Greg Kasavin on to talk about it, I immediately downloaded it.

Yeah I guess, since Summer of Arcade is such a big promotion. Definitely wouldn't be as excited for it (PC version) if not for GB though.

With it being a part of the Summer of Arcade promotion, I'd definitely have known of its existence, but I would never have followed it as closely without the Bomb Squad.

Probably not. Its rare I care about XBLA games Bastion, Braid and Shadow Complex are the only ones I have been particularly interested in and a lot of that is Giant Bomb's influence. I am glad though Bastion is awesome.

Definitely. This kind of game is my bag.
