DICE patched it in. Seems to be a scripted event. Didn't see it in person yet, though I was present for it once, just engaged at Gas Station. BF3 is getting more awesome by the patch.

Noticed this last night and it made me smile in the same way that the "Eight Ferraris and a Lamborghini crash in Japan" story made me smile.

I witnessed this last night in conquest and it also occurred at almost the end of the round. I asked if they did something or if just happens at the end of the round. They said they blew it up, but I don't know where or how you need damage specifically if that is actually the case. If you can do it at any time it looks like it might severly impede vehicle traffic across the middle of the map.

And yes someone was complaing it killed them...

edit: OK now I see AlexW00d's post.

a friend of mine told me on vent "hey man, look at the antenna im gonna shoot it down.." he was in a chopper at the time. dont know how much damage is needed though, or where to shoot it..

can we try and bring it down with C4 on the GB server? :)

Saw it happen while I was at the antenna node. It was awesome.

Are they still gonna patch back in terrain deformation?

@Jasta: Yeah, I presumed that was a bug the first time I noticed it was gone. The whole tower seems so pointless when it's not there, and it looks so weird inside without it.

Experienced that today. Managed to fly a jet into the still standing collision model while the thing was falling.

I can't wait to just be up there when the ticket count hits 20 so I can experience it at its full potential
