And I am pretty happy, I never thought I would get good in the chopper as I am a tanker.  Oh and the boats in Vietnam are God.

I'm at 7 gold stars for the chopper, mostly because I'd just rather be on foot even though I'm a good pilot.  Haven't piloted the in though.

Grats. I am terrible at flying. I still do not understand why there is no practice mode or air only map like in 1943. I do not really want to spoil the experience for other people so mostly I do not dash to the chopper. Only sometimes as the gunner, where I can not fuck things up as much.

So what perk do you usually use with choppers?

Practice makes perfect. Understanding how they're flown can also help you understand how to take them out better, too.

Which reminds me that they might overdid this in Vietnam with the Huey. You can take one down as a medic with XM22 and that damage perk with approx. a single ammo belt.

Needs more Jets and harriers. Also yeah BBC2 is my favorite online experience of 2010 with some 100 hours played (still need another 20 for that patch)....Vietnam solidified it when it came out.

They had to make it easier to take down helis since there are no tracers in vietnam.  Else they would be too overpowers (kinda like the boat)

It's a known bug. Small Arms should deal 0.5% damage per hit. It deals over 3.5% damage on consoles right now. It's being fixed with the next patch. Survivability is intended to be much higher than it currently is.

So to the Pc Players: Can you still kill an undamaged Huey with a single tank main gun hit?

Also how do you fly these "circles of death" I have seen so many of lately?

It's a known bug. Choppers in the console versions take roughly 400% too much damage from small arms fire. Should take roughly 1% damage per hit, yet it currently loses almost 4%. Should be fixed soon enough. Can't wait for the Hueys to feel as intended.
