Bill Laimbeer is a retired center from the University of Notre Dame who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons.
Laimbeer won back to back NBA championships with the Pistons in 1989-1990. He was loved by Pistons fans, but was despised by opposing fans and players for committing hard fouls and flopping. That behavior often overshadowed his huge contributions to the success of that era of the the Pistons: He became the 19th player in NBA league history to amass more than 10,000 points and 10,000 rebounds, and from 1982-1990 no other player in the league totaled more defensive rebounds than Laimbeer.
Laimbeer is currently the GM and head coach of the WNBA's New York Liberty. He has won three WNBA championships as a head coach in the WNBA.
