    Bionic Commando Rearmed

Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Aug 13, 2008

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a remake of the classic NES game, Bionic Commando. Although it was designed mainly as a marketing tie-in to the 360 and PS3 game also called Bionic Commando, it was actually far, far better received by critics than the real console game.

    Is it worth the $10?

I played the first one on an NES emulator, found it very difficult. I haven't tried the demo. Thoughts?

EDIT: I'm going to make these threads for like every XBLA game I want. Yay.

I think it's worth it, it retains it's old school hard as fuck spirit especially on hard. It's really fun, the biggest downfall is that all of the multiplayer is local.

    I can't believe you're asking this, it's fuckin steal.

I played the first level and it was pretty cool, I thought YEAH I COULD PLAY ABOUT FIVE MORE O THESE, checked the base screen and holy shit, there was like fifteen more levels.

There's the challenge rooms, which are like really small advanced time trial rooms. I did the first two, though THERE'S TEN OF THESE RIGHT? Turns out there's 58.

Co-op multiplayer through the whole game, at least two modes of vs multiplayer (maybe more?)
Each level's got  2 of something called "secrets" in them. I don't know what they are cos I haven't found any.
The dialogue is GREAT FUN. It's like this comical self-awareness stuff.
This game couldn't possibly be more worth it.

Dude, yes!  I love the conversations between Nathan RAD and HQ.  This game is worth $20 to me.

After that, I won't buy it. It'll turn me into a raving loony.

    Actually, I will.

EDIT: THIS GAME IS SO FUCKING HARD.

I don't think the game is as hard as the nes version. The control isn't as stiff and there's new weapons that make it easier. If you like 2d games, this one's a fairly safe bet.

For $10, you're getting one hell of a deal here. The game certainly is more forgiving in some ways (unlimited continues, more weapons), but I don't think that's a fault because the core swinging/platforming gameplay is still tough as nails. Also, I really love how the game doesn't take itself seriously. The cheesy 80's action hero style and various little self-referential gags really keep the mood light.

Not only do I suggest you get the game (if you haven't) but find the time to buy a second copy just because. Please, for the developer? They really got screwed by that poll...  ˘_˘
