I came across a play-through of the "prototype" of this game a few days ago, and thought it looked really neat. Then I found out it had been cancelled. Then I found out pretty much nobody else I talked to actually knew of this game in the first place. Is this an example of non-existent PR? Did anybody here actually try it out? I think the gas mask coupled with the fog and sound effects looked really interesting.

Edit: Okay, now I've read conflicting stories as to whether this actually is cancelled or not. It's all rather confusing.

They both look dusty and post-apocalyptic, but those are the only similarities I see.

I can see where you're coming from with that. The whole gas mask thing is somewhat reminiscent of Metro.

Yep, that's because the studio working on this game is the one that got canned for their work on I am Alive.

This is the game they started to work on after getting cancelled on that project.

So did this game get cancelled? It seems their website (www.blackdeathgame.com) is now parked. That's too bad; it looked interesting.

The games graphics and atmosphere were really good, but the gameplay itself was a little rough, however thats because of it still being in alpha.

Hopefully they can still use the games assets as portfolio work to get jobs quickly
