Picked this up in a Steam sale a while ago now, and thought it could be fun to organise a friendly Giant Bomb tournament of some kind. I'm terrible at the game, and I'm hoping to learn some good strategies while playing with some excellent duders.

If people are keen we can definitely set this up!

A few years ago I used to play this a lot, but not online. If there is no uptake on a tournament and you just want an odd game just message me and we can set something up. I only have the Legendary Edition though.

I've only ever played against the computer (and even then I haven't played in like 2-3 years), but I might be interested in giving it a shot.

I would, But using the subpar version that is on steam would be a crime where there is a more complete and better working version out for free!

It might not look as fancy, but it has more content, a bigger comunity, stunty league, No problem with versions not lining up, the math/dicerolls are clearer.
I mean it is not perfect but it always felt like a way better blood bowl experience to me.

Haven't played Blood Bowl in a long time, but if you're down with having a bunch of Chaos Dwarves slam you in the face in a 2-1 game, I'm down to do the slamming.

Not great at this game, but have a lot of fun losing (typically).

I guess the proper way to organize this is to make a league within the game itself.

Maybe someone who has more experience with that interface can do that (I'll fumble my way through it if no one else does, though). I was under the impression that people with older editions can still play users with newer editions -- is that not the case?

I think the compatibility might of been fixed with the newer ones (chaos and legendary?) I just thought there were some issues with the original.

We'll just have to figure it out. :)

I have also joined that group. There seems to be 8 people commenting in here. If all would like to play perhaps we can set up a league? One game a week.... everyone starts off with the standard points to buy a team with (1000 i think?)

I did some research and apparently if you have either legendary or chaos edition the two games are compatible. Its just the extra teams in chaos edition that will not be available to those who have legendary. Anyone with an older versions (original or dark elf) will not be compatible at all. Anyone who wants to play with older version could just use FUMBBL as suggested earlier.

@hellerphant does that sound like something you had in mind?

Wow, I go to the beach for one day and this thread explodes! Definitely what I had in mind, I'll sign up to the group tomorrow (it's 1:49am here). I'm rocking the Chaos edition myself.
