Return to Pandora, five years after the events of the first game in Gearbox's Borderlands 2.

How should I proceed with my Co-op situation?

OK so my girlfriend and I have been playing Borderlands 2 split screen for a week or so now and we are about level 12.

I just convinced my buddy to pick up the game too and want him to join us, but I'm debating what is the best way to proceed since wouldn't our buddy be at a disadvantage being 11 levels below us?

I'm thinking it would probably be best to do the following:

1. make him the host (meaning the enemies are levelled for him)

2. I'll make a new character

3. My GF continues using her level 12 character, since well, she's still new at FPS games so the level boost might do her some good.

Basically, I want my GF and my buddy to have the best gameplay experience. Or would my buddy be screwed if both my GF and I use our lvl 12 dudes and he has a lvl 1 character?

Seems like letting your newb-ish girlfriend play at level 12 while you and your buddy run around at level 1 is the best thing to do. You two will (probably) catch up to her quickly enough.

He can easily get to your level in about 5'hours of play.

You can get to level 12 in no time at all. I'd just start over.

Also if you want a 4th (if your 360) I have a level 10ish assassin.

Or you and your "GF" could start new characters with your friend and play your level 12 characters when your buddy flakes, or when you guys just want to do something alone, you know with out a third wheal.

@RainVillain: If your girlfriend isn't very good at games, let her use her level 12 character. If she's good at them, make new characters for play with him and keep your already-leveled characters separate, for just you and her.

Her using her level 12 may make things difficult. I believe the enemies might grow tougher due to her level. Not 100% though.

I would say start everyone at level 1.

If your friend is the host, he wont have a disadvantage.

@The_Laughing_Man: Sorry man I'm playing on PS3

Thanks for the replies guys. We'll make him the host, I'll start at level 1 with him. GF will continue rolling her lvl 13 Siren Nurse.

I say both of you just stay at level 12 and then power level your buddy.
