Borderlands 2 is not a game I expected to spend much time with. The first Borderlands was interesting for a few hours but quickly devolved into nothing more than an MMO style grind. The quests, characters, and story never became interesting to me. I am able to perceive that it would have been a good time in a co-op setting but I was never in position to play it that way. Some people tout this game as being a mere extension of the first game. In many ways they are right, but in many more ways, they are dead fucking wrong.Borderlands 1 was a surprise hit, taking Gearbox to a new level of game design. It was a FPS based around loot - an uncommon concept that was executed in a moderately good way.
