    Overview

    Brian O'Neill is a character in Mafia II. He was the head of the O'Neill gang, an Irish Mob operating in Empire Bay.

    Mafia II

    After a jewel store heist gone wrong, O'Neill is imprisoned and jailed at Hartmann Federal Penitentiary. He soon recognizes Vito Scaletta is also in jail, and the two get into a fist fight which is split up by the prison guards. A few months later, O'Neill is lifting weights alone at the gym and Vito prompts a fight with him. After O'Neill pulls out a knife with the intent to kill Vito, he manages to overpower O'Neill and slits his throat before putting the knife through his neck which ultimately kills him. According to Vito, nobody found out who killed O'Neill.

    He is replaced by Mickey Desmond as leader of the O'Neill gang in Empire Bay.
