No prestige, cbf grinding for gold weapons. So what do I do...? This game feels pointless when there's nothing to unlock. Maybe I'll just forget about it and stick with TF2.

I've reset my stats more than once.. it really does get kinda boring. TF2 isn't a bad road to travel though, the heavy update is tuesday w/ a new mode and maps.

Yeah, I'm a TF2 obsessive, but I need something else every once in a while so I bought CoD4, hit 55 in about a week and never touched it again. In fact I've probably played the single player campaign more. Veteran was tough.

I'm actually thinking now about resetting my stats. I sucked when I started (obviously) so my K:D is pretty awful.

I've been filling the gap with Quake 3 when I don't have TF2 running. It's amazing how many people still play that game online... at all hours of the day and night even.

I guess I can just hold out with TF2 until L4D gets here.

I was pretty much finished with it at rank 45. I pushed on to 55 and then stopped playing. Its a nice way to say "Ive beaten this" before you move on.

When you get to the point you know the maps, strategies and guns inside out, its usually time to move on.

Though i guess some are content to play counterstrike for 10 years straight.

I can see where you're coming from and had the same problem.  No real advice, but I'm stoked for L4D too.

I'm glad at the responses. I will no longer feel guilt for quitting. The single player was better anyway.

You could try working on your kill/death ratio, joining a clan or maybe mods/custom maps.
