    Carlon is a talking raven, and a companion of the monk Saelo. He is the one who directs Alleron to the Monastery of Enroth.

    Carlon first crosses paths with Alleron when that latter passes by a rock, where the bird has somehow had his feet magically trapped in a rock. The raven makes a deal with Alleron: He will help him get rid of the Mask of the Accused, if Alleron will help him get free from the rock. He then directs Alleron to the Monastery of Enroth, where he can find help. He later is revealed to be a companion of Saelo, which explains his knowledge of the monastery.
