    Overview

CastleMiner Warfare is a PVP first person shooter by DigitalDNA Games, which takes place in a block based destruct-able and construct-able world. The game is part of the CastleMiner franchise by DigitalDNA Games, and was originally released on the Xbox 360 in the Xbox Live Indie Games section.

    Game play

Players compete in PVP maps using modern military style weapons some of which have the ability to destroy blocks in the world. Players can alternately switch to a construction mode while playing where they wield a pick-axe and have to ability to remove and create parts of the world, allow the players to make temporary structures and forts to protect themselves. Through combat the player is able to unlock new weapons and new types of blocks to place.

The game contains a series of dynamic block types that do different things and have effects which interact with each other. For example some blocks explode and some produce fluids which flow across the map. These fluids can interact with each other. For instance oil may flow across the map and set fire to tar or wood, then water may flow across the map dousing the flames.

The game also has a dedicated construction mode where players can creatively build maps with the open of sharing them online.
