In this reboot of the beloved Castlevania franchise, Gabriel Belmont goes on a quest to defeat the sinister Lords of Shadow, who are preventing the souls of the departed from passing on to the afterlife, in order to obtain from them a magical mask that will bring his murdered wife Marie back from the dead.
" Why would they give you $20? Why don't they just make it $40 then? I don't get it "
To create a cycle of you solely purchasing new titles from Amazon.
In my case, Halo Reach 60 bucks(20 credit + 5 from shipping being late) goes to Dead Rising 35 bucks (10 credit) goes to Castlevania 50 bucks (20 credit)... and on and on.
A system like this really makes the consumer stay loyal.
Yeah, and I don't mind it one bit. I get my titles for a good price, I get them delivered on the day of release for extremely low shipping-costs ($1), and I get great customer service. That's what I'd call a sustainable business model.
An update on this. People are having success contacting customer service and getting $20 off. Just bring up the past promotion and they will seem to honor it.
" @Diamond: Same. I was going to use my Dead Rising 2 credit that I jsut received... lame. "
I did that when they had the deal for Halo: Reach, immediately applied the $20 to an Alan Wake: Limited Edition that happened to be on sale for $20 (I had some amazon gift credit that I also used so I basically paid nothing, but only sacked $20 of my gift credit).
