Prior to participating in the Apex Games, Caustic was a scientist named Alexander Nox who worked at Humbert Labs developing pesticides for crops growing in the Frontier colonies. He became obsessed with his work and believed he needed live subjects to properly test his formulas. Nox carried out experiments in this manner, and when he was discovered and fired by Humbert Labs, he destroyed the laboratory and killed the chief.
Now known as Caustic, he uses the Apex Games as a testing ground for his poison gases.
Abilities
Caustic's abilities are focused on laying traps for enemies, most effective in close quarters engagements.
Passive: Nox Vision
Enemies caught in Caustic's poison gas are highlighted for him to see.
Tactical: Nox Gas Trap
Up to three gas canisters can be placed that are detonated by proximity or gunfire, spewing out poison gas. These can be destroyed by shooting the red base of the devices.
Ultimate: Nox Gas Grenade
A throwable that covers a large area in poison gas.
