    Overview

    Connor MacLeod is the protagonist of the film Highlander and its sequels. He is a native of Scotland born in the 1500s, but after being slain in battle, returns to life as an immortal. Cast out of his village, he eventually comes across Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, another immortal, who teaches Connor the ways of their people, including how an immortal can take the power of another by beheading them to take their Quickening. He also teaches Connor that in the end, there can be only one.

    After Ramirez's death at the hands of Connor's arch-nemesis, the also-immortal Kurgan, Connor is left to wander the world for the next several hundred years until the time of the gathering. The point at which the last few remaining immortals battle it out for the prize that awaits the only one left.
