No, this isn't a 1.6 or Source goof.

I keep adding this game to cart, when I click purchase for myself the steam page sits there for 15 seconds and it boots me to the home page and the item goes away from my cart. This is sort of the only time Valve had trouble taking my money.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're experiencing the fallout of Valve's servers getting hammered from the CS:GO launch and the big TF2 update.

My advice would be to check your email to make sure the payment didn't actually go through and try again in half an hour or so.

I'm sure it didn't go through. I didn't even get to the page for confirmation of purchase where it shows your credit card.

TNT should totally be CS GO beta....

Also...it keeps crashing on my rig...

It'll give me a red screen or just hiccup and freeze in between rounds.
