Won't be able to play it unfortunately(no X1 for me), but I feel bad that it's not getting any promotion whatsoever. Lame on Microsoft's part, especially since they don't have that many high profile indie games. Though I'm not sure this qualifies as indie.

I personally haven't played it. I did watch the very thorough Let's Play by SuperGreatFriend. He also did a 100% LP of Deadly Premonition where he shows all SORTS of crazy stuff that neither of the DP Endurance Run teams found across.

yep, just noticed this. Lately microsoft has been jumping then gun on digital releases. First the Dark Souls 2 DLC a day early (Old Iron King on 360) and now D4! Can't wait to dive into this!

This D4 hype made me literally just order Deadly Premonition for PS3 on impulse. Help.

Man, wish this was on the previous gen consoles. Would totally go for it if it were. I've never even played any of this guy's games, but I'm such a HUGE fan of Deadly Premonition due to all the LPs of it I've watched.

I can't tell if I'm actually having fun using the Kinect or if it's just been so long since I've used one for anything other than a Dance Central game that anything different seems fun at this point.

Either way, I got really super fucking into that fight with Amanda at the beginning even though it was just a couple of swipes so that's gotta count for something, right?

I really won't have time to play this soon, but this is probably going to be one of the incredibly rare times I buy something because I want to support it just as much as much as I want to play it. And don't get me wrong, I definitely want to play it.

The hardest thing I will do today is go meet some friends after work instead of going directly home to play D4. It is sitting on my hard drive RIGHT NOW.

I hoped that this game would be well received, I didn't anticipate 9 out of 10. I think we are looking at something special, I am going to go into hiding on this one though to avoid any spoilers. If and when I ever get an Xbox One this will probably be the first game I play.

I downloaded 20% of this before I left for work. I did like that you could boot it to the start menu, but not start the game itself until everything is downloaded.

The "News" tab in the menu also got a chuckle out of me when Swery writes something like "There's a lot of useless content in this game, but people expect and love it".

Looking forward to play it when I get home.

Yup, finished the prologue and almost done with episode 1 I think. Gameplay wise, I don't think it's too different than anything we've seen before. I feel the obvious and best comparison is any recent Telltale game. It's close enough to one that you'll feel right at home if you played one of those, but it's different enough that it still feels like it's own thing. That said, everything else is absolutely incredible. The characters (this is definitely a Swery-ass-Swery fuckin game), the detail in the world, presentation, writing, story - it's all really fuckin good.

I'm playing with the Kinect and I really like it ...I think. Again, I'm not sure if I like it so much simply because it's been forever since I've used a Kinect to play anything other than Dance Central lol, but still, if you have one, I say it's a great way to play the game.

Possibly the biggest surprise of 2014?

Any news on the status of future episodes? $14.99 seems to cheap for the full game, but it also seems like a lot for the introduction to a game. I'd be OK with an episode pack that finishes the game for $5-$10, but I think they'd be making a mistake to go beyond Telltale pricing. Of course, maybe it's just $14.99 for everything, which would be grand.

The screens shots and name make me think of A Scanner Darkly.

Man, every time I see D4 mentioned it gets me excited to see the return of WARP and Laura... I loved D, Enemy Zero, and D2. Granted flawed but amazing at the time!

Having more fun with this than Destiny. I beat it earlier today and can't wait for more episodes.

Wish for it on PC at some point, I'm not buying the Xone just for this.

Just wrapped up episode 2 - Holy shit indeed. That was one fucking crazy ending. Quick sidenote/protip: Max out Amanda's present meter for one of the best scenes in the game. I shit you not.
