If your mastery of an internet forum is any indication, I suggest you give up and go read a book or something.

But for realsies, 2GB of ram and a 9800 probably isn't going to cut it.

That just deals with raw numbers, I think a 3 GHz processor now is better than the one I have thats like 5 years old :P

It's likely going to run like crap. Your CPU has a high enough frequency, but the Pentium D is really outdated; the cores don't communicate very well with each other. The graphics card will probably suffice, but you'd need very low settings.

Easiest cheapest upgrade would be RAM. If your board supports going higher, throw some more in there. 4 GB of DDR2 is dirt cheap. The CPU is probably going to be the biggest problem, but because of the deprecated socket, it may not even be worth putting anything else in there.

You'd need an almost complete rebuild to get into LGA 1155. No point in buying a board that runs anything else (for Intel anyway, don't know much about AMD myself)

@MasterRain: Did you post it on your phone or use shift+enter to single line? This forum doesn't seem to like either of those.

Yeah the only game I play is Starcraft 2, which runs on highest settings around 30fps but my monitor is only 1280x1024 so that's probably why it works.

I guess i'll wait a week or so after its out, and see if anyone on the internet tries to run it on a similar PC, thanks.

My old PC hasn't let me down yet! :P

It runs at around 25-30 fps, although Its probably going to lag in similar places to the console port, but its 100% playable. Just in case anyone wondered.
