As of February 12th, Aventurine has introduced an originally promised feature of Darkfall Online, that being a lore system built around the actions of the players. In this particular incarnation, the chronicles of Darkfall are scrolls what is bloody. More specifically, The Blood Scrolls. So far, it's essentially a website dedicated to describing in-game events and storylines that players have influenced, usually through bloodshed. Players and clans who have participated in the events were recorded as doing so, and the outcome will probably influence what happens next.
 
While I think this is a really cool idea, I wish they would do more to incorporate the lore in-game, and the chapter based storyline (or so it seems so far) might be more linear than the game deserves.
