    arbayer2 Reviews: Darwinia (PC)

It's made by Introversion, one of the few development houses left in the industry with any integrity. Huh... kinda like Valve, which is why Introversion was saved from bankruptcy solely by its games being put up for sale on Steam, if you remember the headlines. Anyway, about the game ITSELF.

You play as an assistant to the creator of a digital world known as Darwinia, fighting to eradicate a rampant virus which is killing the world's inhabitants, a bunch of adorable little sentient creatures called Darwinians. Save them, upgrade them, and command them to remove the evil virus from the landscape. This game's actually quite fun, and it's a very creative spin on a RTS. Its multiplayer variant, Multiwinia, is badass too, so I'd check them both out.

And yes, Introversion you may remember from games like DEFCON, Uplink and its upcoming action game Subversion. Check 'em out at http://www.introversion.co.uk/

If you're looking for an original, fun pseudo-RTS, I recommend Darwinia.
