If I want to look at hot girls in bikinis, I only need to Ctrl-T over to Google Images, turn off SafeSearch and type in "hot girls in bikinis." It's free, and there are literally millions of such pictures. If I want videos with similar content, I can perform an identical YouTube search. Why on earth someone would pay a $20 premium to see a bunch of virtual women, firmly stuck in the uncanny valley and probably aliased all to hell, fighting each other in swimsuits is utterly beyond me.
Why is safe search a requirement for this?
I like how with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 you get swimsuits for ALL characters regardless of gender or species and they're a free pre-order bonus, but with Dead or Alive 5 you have to pay an extra $20 for them and they're only for the female characters.

They know their audience.
Because my initial draft of the post was saying "boobs" (before I realized that "hot girls in bikinis" worked better in reference to the topic at hand) and I forgot to revise the SafeSearch part.@BaneFireLord said:

I don't know what people thought this game wouldn't be exploitative towards women, I mean come on.
Because the devs said it wouldnt be a few months ago
Only if it comes with bikini-style Bass
So Here are some of the costumes in question. Funnily enough Tina actually looks more covered up in her bikini. Also, nice touch on Christie making it a "snake-skin" bikini. Also, its probally sad but I totally recognize the T-shirt Kokoro is wearing because its from DOAX2. Actually come to think of it... I think that christie swimsuit is too. This is obviously only for the "announced" female chracters. Helena and Lisa are still "to be officially announced" but they are pretty much in. Also, odd that Sarah Bryant is announced but no Swimsuit for her? Bawwww.
